AIC 2019 Appreciation Banquet & AIC 2020 Press Conference Held in Beijing

On 29 November 2019, All in CARAVANING (AIC) held its client appreciation banquet for the year 2019 and the AIC 2020 press conference in Beijing, on the day right after the Thanksgiving.

Distinguished guests who took part in the event included Mr. CHENG Hong, Senior Director of the CITS Group Corporation, Mr. FANG Dehe, Secretary General of the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers Recreational Vehicle Industry Committee, Mr. LIU Hanqi, Secretary General of the China Self-driving Tour and Camping & Caravaning Association (STCCA) of CTACA, and Mrs. Yujia DU BLANCHARD, AIC Project Director of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The event also attracted participation of about 20 renowned exhibitors from RV manufacturers, accessories and outdoor equipment suppliers as well as nearly 30 media outlets and partners.

In the opening remarks, Mrs. Yujia DU BLANCHARD reviewed general facts and figures of the recently concluded 8th edition of AIC in June: "This year we have welcomed 200 exhibitor brands and 24,008 visitors, marking a new record for the AIC show. This is partly the result of a booming industry, but we also owe our development to the long-term support of exhibitors, partners and media outlets. At the end of the year, we host this client appreciation banquet as an occasion for constructive exchanges with all of you, so that we can achieve even better results next year.” She then expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guests.

Mrs. DU afterwards shared new plans and highlights of AIC 2020 with the guests. AIC 2020 will once again take place in the Beijing Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center during June 12-14, 2020. The exhibition area next year will increase to 39,000 m², providing an even larger platform for exhibitors.

Two new exhibition zones will debut next year. The "Outdoor Products Zone" is specially designed for manufacturers of outdoor equipment and products. It features a clear design theme and compact layout, allowing visitors to purchase all outdoor equipment and products for caravanning, including tent, camping furniture/equipment, air mattress, sleeping bag, etc.

The other new exhibition zone is the "Campgrounds Zone”, which provides the latest and most comprehensive travel guide for caravan fans. It offers first-hand information about campgrounds in China, while actively promoting camping culture to the general public.

As for concurrent events, the “Buyer’s Program”, among other B2B RV industry events, will invite more trade buyers for the benefit of exhibitors. The organizers will also further expand the feature program, the "AIC + International Exchange" with support from the resourceful and leading Messe Düsseldorf. More experts from developed countries in Europe and the United States will be invited to join the event onsite for communication and exchanges with Chinese industry players. In addition, visitors can expect to see all established programs including the Tech Academy, Pop-up Shop, AIC INNOVATION and AIC AWARDS at AIC 2020.

For B2C RV culture events, the "Dream Tour" and "Starter World” launched in 2019 with great success will take place again in 2020. Caravan experts will provide in-depth consultations onsite concerning practical skills for caravanning. Caravan starters and “experienced RV enthusiasts" alike will have the opportunity to learn about the latest knowledge and comprehensive information about caravanning. "Auto Culture Zone”, a new feature next year in the outdoor area, aims at creating a recreation space, where visitors experience and learn about motor sports. In addition, the "Kids Club" full of joy and fun will also be featured again in AIC 2020, giving our “little visitors" some real fun.

It is worth noting that the "AIC SCHOOL" project initiated by AIC for popular education of caravanning will once again take place across the country in 2020. In 2019, AIC SCHOOL organized two highly popular training courses in Shanghai in spring and autumn. Participants stated that they learned of extensive knowledge about driving/renting a caravan as well as route planning. Next year, AIC will work closely with agencies and renowned veteran caravan travelers to bring AIC SCHOOL to a wider audience in other regions of the country, so that more people who wish to learn about caravanning could take part in the practical courses.

The award ceremony followed. Lvye and Xcar jointly won the award of "AIC 2019 BEST MEDIA PARTNER", while other media outlets received the "AIC 2019 BEST RV MEDIA" award. All media outlets were granted a special "AIC PRESS CARD” which came with multiple benefits for its holder during the AIC show.
