All in CARAVANING to Promote the Development of China Caravaning and Camping Industry

Auto camping travel is one of the most popular holiday experience and lifestyle. Along with China’s rapid social and economic development and the improvement of civilization, people’s income and tourist time have been greatly increased, which stimulated their growing demand for healthy, fashionable and individualized travel style, for example the auto camping travelling, instead of the traditional sightseeing. According to statistics, 30% of Chinese tourists choose to travel by self-driving, and in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai, this figure is up to 50% with a sustainable growth. Meanwhile, thousands of self-driving clubs and hundreds of outdoor clubs are springing up rapidly. This market background has laid a solid foundation for the development of auto camping travel industry in China.

According to the data provided by some international authoritative industry research institutes, there are 13 million German people who spend their vacations in recreation vehicles (RVs). The caravanning and camping industry have generated a total annual revenue of 10 billion euros, among which 3.9 billion being spent on parking, 3.1 billion being spent during the trip, and 3 billion being spent on the vehicle and relevant equipments. In America, 1/3 of the tourist accommodation facilities, 1/3 of people’s tourist time, and 1/3 of the tourist land are used for camping activities. 9-10% of the US families own their own RVs, and averagely they use the vehicle for more than 50 days per year. In fact, over 8 million Americans are comfortably living in their RVs.

In China, caravaning and camping are emerging as a brand new thing for the general public at present. However, it has great potential with a view to the fast economic growth and people’s increasing demand. We have a very long way to go. During the “All in CARAVANING 2012”, which is to be held on 10-12 August, 2012, the industry will see many domestic and international caravan manufacturers present their advanced products and innovations.
